Julian Odell Joiner PAVO Julian Odell Joiner, 92, of Pavo, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. James "Shot" Sellers officiating. Born Feb. 28, 1920, in Monticello, Fla., he was the son of the late Henry Homer Grady Joiner and Bertha Iola Prosser Joiner. He was a retired meat-cutter for Swift Packing Company and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Lou Owens Joiner; and four brothers. Survivors include sons, Bobby Joiner of Jesup, Ga., and Merrill Joiner and wife Kathy of Eatonton, Ga.; a daughter, Betty Simmons and husband P.J. of Pavo; grandchildren, Pamela Ann Cox, Rhonda Futch, Donna Helms, Ashley Joiner, Beau Joiner, Kyle Joiner, Michelle Palmer, Darron Simmons and Michael Simmons; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
