Julie Milam Howell, 59, of Barney, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Phoebe Memorial Hospital in Albany, Ga. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 29, at Morrison Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Morrison Cemetery, in Barney, with Tony Reynolds, Bobby Reynolds, Ricky Anderson, Wayne Kelly, Tommy Price and Richard Hancock serving as pallbearers. Born Aug. 31, 1952, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Milam and Dorothy McMurphy Milam. She was employed as a tax preparer at H & R Block in Valdosta, Ga. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis George Howell; a brother, Tony Edward Milam; a sister, Elaine Milam Barnes; a niece, Amber Burton; and a nephew, Michael Medina. Survivors include her daughter, Catherine Howell Brunt of Barney, Ga.; brothers, Steve Milam and wife Vickie of Berlin and Randy Milam and wife Annette of Hartsfield; sisters, Paula McMillan of Moultrie, Kathy Medina of Moultrie and Donna Kay Hall and husband Randy of Moultrie; sister-in-law, Robin Milam of Stockbridge, Ga.; grandchildren, Emily Jade Brunt, Christian Jaymes Brunt and Dennis Joseph Brunt; nieces, Jennifer McMillan Melton, Monica Medina, Keri Milam, Shasta Milam and Melissalynn Perkins; nephews, J.J. McMillan, Mark Milam, Jerry Milam, Walt Hancock, Shannon Hancock and Richard Hancock; great-nieces, Savanna McMillan, Victoria Milam and Miranda Milam; and great-nephews, Izak and Harley Melton.
