Katherine Strawder Tillman Hand, 92, of Moultrie, died Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Pruitt Health Moultrie.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Sardis Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Conger officiating.
Born on May 8, 1927, in Lanier Co., Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Abbie Strawder and Minnie Ward Strawder. She retired from the lunchroom at Turner Elementary School in Albany, Ga and was a member of China Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Soloman Tillman, and Russell C. Hand; brothers, Eugene Strawder and Thomas Strawder; sisters, Mary Strawder and Juanita Harrell.
Mrs. Hand is survived by her son, James Edwin (Ed) Tillman and wife Sharon of Norman Park; sisters, Evelyn Brightwell of Valdosta, Dorothy Wright and husband D.W. of Moultrie, and Geraldine Conger of Baxley; sister in law, JoAnn Strawder of Atlanta; grandchildren, James Edwin "Jamie" Tillman and wife Trina of Norman Park, Karen Tillman Boyd and husband Jeff of Norman Park, Ashleigh Martha Fuller and husband Jordan of Statesboro.
