Kay Frances Smith Moncrief MOULTRIE Kay Frances Smith Moncrief, 66, of Moultrie, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Lifespring Community Church with the Rev. Julian Griner officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Bill Smith Jr., Russ Smith, Brian Smith, Glenn Smith, Philip Smith and Frank Dixon serving as pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers will be Barry Bennett, Jerry Malone, Joey Hancock, Robbie Clayton, Eric Clayton, Jimmy Partain and Bryan Key. Born Oct. 25, 1945, in Unadilla, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Loren Barron and Carolyn Clewis Barron. She was retired from Georgia Department of Labor after 26 years. She was a member of Lifespring Community Church.She was preceded in death by her daughter in law Gloria Smith. Survivors include her husband David Moncrief of Moultrie; sons, Bill Smith Jr. of Villa Rica, Ga., Russ Smith and wife Kim of Moultrie, Brian Smith and wife Pennie of Monticello, Fla., Glenn Smith and wife Angela of Moultrie, and Philip Smith and wife Dimitra of Villa Rica, Ga.; a stepson, Clay Moncrief and wife Katherine of Moultrie; daughters, Sharon Dixon and husband Frank of Moultrie and Arlene Patrick of Seaford, Del.; step-daughter, Candace Robertson and husband Brett of South Carolina; brother, Pete Fowler of Virginia; sisters, Doris Black of Valdosta, Lorene Carter and husband Mel of Ocala, Fla., Jane Lawhorn of Perry, Ga., and Sibbie Parrotino and husband Rick of Nashville, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and special friends, Sandra Clayton, Cheryl Wood and Debra Gay.
