Kenneth Walter Ken' Coar (PICTURE) MOULTRIE Kenneth Walter Ken' Coar, 78, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 7, at Westside Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Alexander officiating. Born Nov. 7, 1933, in Bloomingdale, N.J., he was the son of the late Walter Coar and Meritta Wrightnour Coar. He was a plumber with Sweet Water Plumbing Co. and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Mae McDowell Coar ; brothers, Robert Coar and James "Jim" Coar; and a sister, Carolyn "Curly" Manza. Survivors include his son, Scott Coar of Moultrie; daughters, Penny Williams and companion John Dietsch of Fort Myers, Fla., Donna Best and husband Eric of Fort Myers, Fla., and Grace Merritt and husband Todd of Moultrie; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m., on Friday, at the church. Donations may be made to American Heart or Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
