Kenneth “Ken” Roger Sikes, Jr., 54, of Moultrie, passed away at Colquitt Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, with Pastor Greg Souders officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The Colquitt Co. EMS will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
Born on September 17, 1970, in Moultrie, Georgia he was the son of the late Kenneth Roger Sikes, Sr. and Sara Morris Sikes. Kenneth served as a paramedic in Colquitt County for 21 years, where he rose to the rank of Captain. Throughout his career, he saved countless lives, offering comfort and care to those in need. He was adored by his colleagues at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, where his ever-present smile and uplifting spirit brought joy and encouragement to the nurses and staff.
Beyond his profession, Kenneth’s greatest love was his family. Known as “Daddy” to his beloved daughters and “Pa Ken” to his cherished grandchildren, he was their rock and greatest supporter. His wife, Samantha, and their three beautiful daughters were his world, and he found his greatest joy in their happiness, always providing them with unwavering love and support.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Moates and Gene Moates; and his special fur baby, Baylee.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Samantha “Sam” Williamson Sikes of Moultrie; daughters, Kennedy Theriot and husband Evan of Pierre Part, Louisiana, Aubrie Sikes, and Everleigh Sikes both of Moultrie; grandchildren, Emeri Theriot, EJ Theriot, and Savannah Theriot; brother, Allen Tanner of Moultrie; sister, Brenda Moates and wife Ellie Hebert of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; special companion his black lab, Georgia; and several special friends, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
