Kennon Wayne Sumner

Kennon "Ken" Wayne Sumner, 79, of Crosland, went home to be with his Lord surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 24, 2018.
A funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Crosland Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Crosland Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joey Roberts, Steve Pearce, Sonny Baker, Don Roberts, Stacey Rutledge, and Lamar Frazier.
Born on July 8, 1939, in Colquitt Co., Georgia, he was the son of the late Homer Sumner and Leila Dorminey Sumner. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Crosland Baptist Church. Most importantly he loved the Lord, his family and his church family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerrel Sumner, Carlton Sumner and Charles Waymon Sumner; and sister Barbara Jo Sumner.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Finis Joanne Hall Sumner of Norman Park; daughter, Renee Hogan and husband Lamar of Tifton; grandchildren, Kensley Anne Goodman and husband Chase, Luke Hogan and wife Rebecca, and Cassie Hogan and Richard Long, all of Tifton; great grandchildren, Shyloh Long, Dallas Goodman, and Silas Hogan; and brother, Darrell Sumner of Little Rock, AR.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 6pm-8pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
