Lanelle Griffin Holloway (photo) MOULTRIE Lanelle Griffin Holloway, 67, of Moultrie died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Funeral serives will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 26, at Emerald Hill Baptist church with burial at Emerald Hill Cemetery. The Revs. Darrell Owens and Austin Glass will officiate. Pallbearers will be Matthew Plymel, Frankie Wilson, Steven Wilson, Blake Strickland, Andy Day and Jerry Patt Stone. Mrs. Holloway was born Feb. 4, 1947, in Moultrie to the late Melvin Henry Griffin and Hazel Ophelia Manning Griffin. She was a retired registered nurse and a lifetime member of Emerald Hill Baptist Church. "Her heart and passion was providing care for dialysis patients," her family recalled. "She enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with her family." She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leon Holloway; a son, Troy Holloway; brothers, Buddy Griffin and Curtis Griffin; sisters, Frankie Harrell and Johnnie Dove; and a grandchild, Katelyn Holloway. Survivors include a son, Farrell Holloway and wife Susan of Moultrie; a daughter, Kerri Holloway Cox and husband Justin of Moultrie;a daughter-in-Law; Kay Holloway of Moultrie; a grandchild, Kayla Holloway of Moultrie; a great-grandchild, Kaegan Allen Bledsoe of Moultrie; many life-long friends; and her special companions, Gi Gi and Precious.
