Beaulah Latrelle Young Barnwell,81, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating. Jonathan Lodge, Robert Walden, Trenton Weathers, Shawn Deloach, Josh Goodman, and Rhett Hammond will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Born on November 16, 1940, in TyTy, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Julian Young and Fannie Mae Cox Young. Mrs. Barnwell was retired from the Department of Labor; she was on the Council Volunteer Services and was secretary for Georgia Healthcare. She was the chairman of Pack the Pantry for the Oncology Department at Colquitt Regional Medical Center where she also served as Secretary. Mrs. Barnwell enjoyed doing mission work and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrell Barnwell.
Mrs. Barnwell is survived by her daughters, Diane Barnwell Swanner and husband Keith, Paula Barnwell Register and husband Gary, and Sherree Barnwell Turner and husband Jim all of Moultrie; sister and best friend, Betty Slay of Moultrie; brothers, Tracy Young and wife Donna, and John L. Young and wife Sandra both of Moultrie; grandchildren, Jessica Walden and husband Robert, Jordann Weathers and husband Trenton, Shayla Lodge and husband Jonathan, Kelsi Davis, Jayce Register, Morgan Deloach and husband Shawn, Meg Goodman and husband Josh, and Madison Hammond and husband Rhett; great-grandchildren, Piper Walden, Hayden Davis, Ryleigh Lodge, Kendall Deloach, Clark Deloach, Colton Goodman, Nellie Goodman, and Stella Hammond; and special family friend, Judy Cooper.
