Lewis “Steve” Stephen Pittman, 64, of Moultrie, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Murphy Cemetery with Rev. Shane Smith officiating.
Born on April 17, 1959, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of Jean Carolyn Fletcher Pittman and the late Lewis “Bud” Coleman Pittman. He was a mechanic at Hudson Motor Company for 18 years and worked for Pittman Forrest Product. He loved searching for arrowheads, his guns, and most importantly his family.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Pittman; mother-in-law, Evie Cooper Hart; sister-in-law, Betty Thompson; and brother-in-law, Buddy Hart.
Mr. Pittman is survived by his loving wife Debbie Hart Pittman of Moultrie; son, Matthew Pittman and wife Grace of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Madeline Pittman and Phillip Pittman; brother, Stan Pittman and wife Betty of Moultrie; sister, Karen Thompson and husband Steve of Moultrie; sisters-in-law, Robin Hester and husband James of Pavo, Laverne Sapp and husband Jason of Norman Park; Lanelle Schramm and husband Glynn of Valdosta, and Diantha Hart of Douglas; brothers-in-laws, Ed Hart and wife Joan of Pavo, and Rudene Thompson of Irwinville; his special friends and cats, Tink and Dink; and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Instead of flowers, the family asks that all donations be made to the funeral home in his loving memory.
The family will be gathering at the home of Mrs. Carolyn Pittman.
