Lillian Belle Shaneyfelt Ridgway BRUNSWICK Lillian Belle Shaneyfelt Ridgway, 95, of Brunswick, formerly of Moultrie, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Robby Faircloth officiating. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Born June 20, 1918, Mrs. Ridgway was the daughter of the late Robert E. Shaneyfelt and Lilly Belle Jenkins Shaneyfelt. She graduated Warrensburg Teachers College in Warrensburg, Mo. She was married to James M. Ridgway for 69 years. Lillian was most recently a resident of Benton House in Brunswick. She lived in Brunswick for 12 years and prior to that in Moultrie. In Moultrie she was active in the art community and her artwork was exhibited all over Georgia. During her long life Lillian lived in several states. She held both teaching and office jobs, family said, but her real gift was in the relationships she built with people wherever she went. She brought tremendous energy to everything she did. No holiday went uncelebrated, no event went unmarked. Her family was the beneficiary of her great love and energy and she will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Ridgway, one brother and four sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Duressa Pujat and husband Robert of St. Simons Island, Cheryl Callman and husband Tony of Goose Creek, S.C.; a daughter-in-law, Georgeann Ridgway of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a great-granddaughter, Karen Bargesser and husband Johnny of Hanahan, S.C.; one great-great-grandchild, Sydney Kimberly. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
