Lillie Marie Green Evans SYLVESTER Lillie Marie Green Evans, 93, of Sylvester, Ga., died Friday, July 19, 2013, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 22, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Sardis Church Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Evans will officiate. Visitation will be 1-3:30 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. Mrs. Evans was born Oct. 9, 1919, in Moultrie, daughter of Johnie Elijah Green and Susanna Josephine Dawson Green. She was a homemaker and a Primitive Baptist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ethridge Evans; four brothers, Marion Green, Charlie Green, David Green and George Green; and a sister, Bessie Evans. Survivors include her son, Earl Louis Evans and wife Karen of Sumner; daughters, Betty Ruth Swahlen and husband Art of Manchester, Ga., and Linda Earlene Mitchell of Griffin, Ga.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
