Lillie Pearl Saturday Smith

Lillie Pearl Saturday Smith, 97, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Services will be held on Saturday, July 30, at 11 a.m., at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Chris Ragland, Christopher Smith, CorryWhite, Bobby Gay, Robby Blease, Michael Smith, and Wesley Blease. Born on Aug. 28, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Vascoe Lee "V.L." Saturday and Junie Kinard Saturday. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Air Force Master Sgt. Mayo Montique Smith; brothers, Joe Saturday, Jack Saturday, and Ralph Saturday; and sisters, Ester Tyson, Gertrud Sanders, and Ida Bell Baker. Survivors include her sons, Retired Air Force Colonel Jimmie Smith and wife Elaine of Tallahassee, Fla., and Ricky Smith and wife Dena of Moultrie; sister, Grace Taylor of Moultrie; grandchildren, Michelle Bernier and Husband Tom, Michael Smith and wife Elizabeth, Jessica Gay and husband Bobby, and Christopher Smith; and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, July 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Baker Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
