Linda Joyce Alvis Bivins

Linda Joyce Alvis Bivins, 73, of Norman Park, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 31, 1944 in Barwick to the late James Alexander Alvis and Vera Joyner Alvis. She worked as a home health care provider for many years and was looked upon as family by many and a God send by most. She was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wesley Ansley Alvis, and James Alexander Alvis, Jr. and sister Judith Elizabeth Wilso...n. Survivors include her sons, Scott Bivins and wife Kay of Doerun, Christopher Jack Bivins of Warner Robins, Tony Bivins Sr. and wife Dana Leigh of Funston; a daughter, Belinda Dawn Bivins of Norman Park; grandchildren, Dustin Bivins, Scott Bivins, Christa Bivins Green and husband Cody, Tony Bivins Jr. and wife Sissy, Jenny Bivins Sammons and husband Matt, Ashley Bivins and Shane Mitchell; 12 great grandchildren; and sister, Mary Jane Busby and husband Garland; beloved extended family, Denise Wise, Rocky Wise and wife Rena, and Alyssa Wise; and her beloved furbabies, Dakota, Apache, Mika and Sambo. There will be a memorial service held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
