Linda Kaye Lowry Hurley, 76, of Norman Park, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Graveside rites will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 am at Buck Creek Baptist Church in Ellenton with Rev. Al Lewis officiating. Jeffrey Pope will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Born on November 14, 1942, in Thomasville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Hugh D. Lowry and Ilene Roberts Lowry. She retired as an Executive Service Representative for Traveler's Insurance Co. She was a member of the Norman Park United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother who loved her church family. She also enjoyed spending time with her special friends, "The Dining Divas."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Barnes Hurley; and brother, Terry Lowry.
She is survived by her son, Houston Barnes Hurley, III. "Scooter" and wife Deidre of Norman Park; daughters, Cynthia Bowles and husband Julien of Cartersville, Georgia, Lori Sumler of Moultrie, and Kathi Hatcher and husband Tim of Sale City; grandchildren, Erin and Patrick Johnson, Robin Saunders, Rebecca Bowles, and Lori Beth Dorsey; great grandchildren, Hurley Haney, Gage Dorsey, Rebecca Rudeseal, and Seth Dorsey; brother, Gary Lowry of Norman Park; sister, Krista Lowry Godwin and husband Marvin of Norman Park; many nieces and nephews; and her feline companion, "Taz."
The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Linda Hurley 945 George Flowers Rd. Norman Park following the service.
