Lois Salter Sears

Lois Salter Sears, 87, of Norman Park, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 2:30 pm Sunday, March 25, 2018 with Rev. Warren Gilpin officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Donny Salter, Mark Salter, Wade Salter, Chris Folsom, Blake Garces, BJ Henderson, and John Pitts. Honorary pallbearers will be her Sunday School Class of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Born on September 7, 1930, in Worth Co., Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Wilson Salter and Henrietta Mauldin Salter. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Samuel Sears; and brothers, Homer S. Salter, and Henry Salter. Survivors include her son, Ray Harrison "Butch" Sears and wife Joan of Madison, Miss; daughter, Lori Susan Sears Folsom and husband Wayne of Tifton; grandchildren, Susan Wilson and Racheal Henderson, both of Lake Park, Chris Folsom of Tifton, Miki Hartley of Duncan SC, and Chelsie Folsom of Tifton; 12 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Emmitt Salter and wife Lizzie of Plant City, FLA, and Horace Wilson Salter of Bridgeboro. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, from 5pm-7pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
