Ellenton - Hazel Lorene Holloway, 93 passed away Saturday Aug. 20, 2016 at her residence. Services will be held Tuesday Aug. 23, 2016 at 11a.m. at Reedy Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Clinton Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Reedy Creek Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Holloway, Jerry Holloway, Logan Hampton, Mike Hampton, Mike Simmons and Ronnie Whittle. Born June 24, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Hill Donald Snipes and Audie Mae Malloy Snipes. She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking her 18-layer chocolate cake and homemade dumplings for her church family, her family and friends. She was an active member at Reedy Creek Baptist Church for 62 yrs. She was preceded in death by husband G.H. Holloway; three brothers, Hayward Snipes, Melvin Snipes, H.D. Snipes; sisters, Willo Dene Allen and Doris Hand; and her parents, Hill Donald Snipes and Audie Mae Malloy Snipes. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Leverett and husband Bill of Ellenton, Kayla Folsom and husband Wayne of Ellenton and Suzan Hayward and Jeff of Thomasville; 5 grandchildren, Napp Nazworth and wife Angela, Regina Hembree and husband Ricky, Nyla Patterson, Donna Kay Johnson and husband Monty, Amanda Leverett; 8 great grandchildren, Xylie Nazworth, Zayden Nazworth, Jonathon Hembree, Rebecca Hembree, Michael Patterson, Desirae Patterson, Lane Johnson, Reese Johnson; 1 great great grandchild, Aria Pasalodos; 2 sisters, Hilda Hancock from Liveoak Fla. and Montine Corbin Watkinsville GA; sister in laws, Ruth Snipes of Sales City, Lila Snipes of Sale City and Shelby Snipes of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
