Marcus Thomas Norman

Moultrie - Marcus Thomas Norman, 78, passed away Sunday Aug. 21, 2016 at his residence. Services will be held Wednesday Aug. 24, 2016 at 11a.m. at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Lynwood Davis officiating assisted by Elder Tommy Patterson and Elder Dave Chandler. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Moultrie. Born September 21, 1937, he was the son of the late Marion Thomas Norman and Christine Connell Norman. He was a farmer, a self employed landscaper and was a deacon at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Norman; a sister, Patsy Norman Known and his parents, Marion Thomas Norman and Christine Connell Norman. Survivors include his wife, Rose Adcock Norman of Moultrie; sons, Timmy Norman and wife Darlene, Jeff Norman and wife Michelle and Arron Norman and wife Connie all of Moultrie; Daughter, Velda Duke and husband Kenneth of Moultrie; sisters, Francis Norman Collins of Cummings, Margie Norman Stewart of Perry, Fla., Peggy Norman Oglesby of Newnan and Brenda Norman Cliatt of Columbus; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Baker Funeral Home Chapel. In Lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to The Pleasant Grove Cemetery Account in care of Timmy Norman, 161 Kindred Lane, Moultrie, Georgia 31788.
