Mario Vargas Alamilla, de 70 años, residente de Moultrie, falleció en el Colquitt Regional Medical Center el lunes 10 de febrero de 2025.

La Misa Funeral de Sepultura Cristiana se llevará a cabo el viernes 14 de febrero de 2025 a las 2:00 p.m. en la capilla de Baker Funeral Home, con el Padre Paulinus Okpala oficiando la ceremonia. Posteriormente, el sepelio tendrá lugar en Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Actuarán como portadores del féretro Mario Vargas, Jr., Juan Vargas, Eulalio Galindo, Fausto Vargas, Marcelo Vargas y Erwin Vargas.

La familia recibirá a los amigos para el velorio una hora antes del servicio, el viernes 14 de febrero de 2025, en la capilla de Baker Funeral Home.

Nacido el 4 de agosto de 1954 en Rosario Hidalgo, México, era hijo de los fallecidos Telesforo Vargas Torres y Jacinta Alamilla. Mario fue un católico devoto y un hombre de fe inquebrantable. Dejó un legado de amor y dedicación a su familia. Trabajó durante muchos años en Rossman Apiaries Inc., donde era reconocido por su arduo trabajo y compromiso.

La familia fue el pilar central en la vida del Sr. Vargas. Amaba profundamente a sus cuatro nietos y encontraba alegría en cada momento compartido con ellos. Su fe lo guió en todas sus acciones, y vivió como un testimonio de bondad, devoción y amor.

Además de sus padres, fue precedido en muerte por su nieto, Jaden Vargas Candelaria; su hermano, Juan Vargas Alamilla; y su hermana, Gloria Vargas Alamilla.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Maria Luisa De la Cruz; sus hijos, Mario Telesforo Vargas de la Cruz., Juan Vargas de la Cruz y su esposa Marcela; su hija, Julieta Vargas De la Cruz; sus nietos, Briggitte Galindo-Vargas, Juliette Galindo-Vargas, Andrea Vargas y Geneva Candelaria; sus hermanos, Fausto Vargas Alamilla, Fernando Vargas Alamilla, Marcelo Vargas Alamilla y Antonio Vargas Alamilla; y sus hermanas, Silvia Vargas Alamilla, Epifania Vargas Alamilla, Lorena Vargas Alamilla y Delfina Vargas Alamilla.

Mario Vargas Alamilla, 70, of Moultrie, died at Colquitt Regional Medical Center on Monday, February 10, 2025.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Father Paulinus Okpala officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Mario Telesforo Vargas De la Cruz, Juan Vargas De la Cruz, Eulalio Galindo, Fausto Vargas, Marcelo Vargas, and Erwin Vargas will serve as pallbearers 

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday, February 14, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.

Born on August 4, 1954, in Rosario Hildalgo, Mexico, he was the son of the late Telesforo Vargas Torres and Jacinta Alamilla. Mario was a devoted Catholic and a man of unwavering faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family. He worked for many years at Rossman Apiaries Inc., where he was known for his hard work and commitment.

Family was at the heart of Mr. Vargas's life. He cherished his four grandchildren, finding joy in every moment spent with them. His faith guided him in all that he did, and he lived as a testament to kindness, devotion, and love. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandchild, Jaden Vargas Candelaria; brother, Juan Vargas Alamilla; and sister, Gloria Vargas Alamilla.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Luisa De la Cruz; sons, Mario Telesforo Vargas De la Cruz, Juan Vargas De la Cruz and wife Marcela; daughter, Julieta Vargas De la Cruz; grandchildren, Briggitte Galindo-Vargas Juliette Galindo-Vargas, Andrea Vargas, and Geneva Candelaria; brothers, Fausto Vargas Alamilla, Fernando Vargas Alamilla, Marcelo Vargas Alamilla, and Antonio Vargas Alamilla; and sisters, Silvia Vargas Alamilla, Epifania Vargas Alamilla, Lorena Vargas Alamilla, and Delfina Vargas Alamilla.
