Martha Sue Sheffield

Martha Sue Sinclair Sheffield, 85, of Norman Park, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. 

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Deep Bottom Cemetery with Pastor Michael Baer officiating. 

Mrs. Sheffield was born on September 23, 1938, in Norman Park, she was the daughter of the late W.H. Sinclair and Vera Mae Norman Sinclair. She was never happier than when she was spending time with her family and friends. Many local residents have been blessed to taste her many baked treats and her chicken salad. Sue shared her love through food and hospitality. She was a member of Norman Park United Methodist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Eugene “Gene” Sheffield; brother, Bill Sinclair; and sister-in-law Cheryl Sinclair. 

Mrs. Sheffield is survived by her children, Lewis “Glosson” Sheffield of Madison, Wisconsin, and Kenny Sheffield and wife Kim of Norman Park; brother, David Hinton Sinclair of Norman Park; special niece, Wendie Dozier of Tifton; great-niece, Chloie Dozier of Tifton; and many more loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Southside Baptist Church or Colquitt Regional Hospice. The family will gather at the home of Mrs. Sheffield in Norman Park.
