Martin William Hooks

Doerun -Martin "Marty" William Hooks age 56 of Doerun, died Wednesday November 8, 2017 In Mitchell County. Funeral Service will be at 2 pm Saturday November 11, 2017 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Harrell officiating. Pallbearers will be Wally Bufford, LaDon Harrell, Paul Hughes, Ricky Smith, David Young and Danny Poole. Born January 10, 1961 in Camilla, GA, he was the son of the late Devon Alfred Hooks and Marjorie Udine Hunt Hooks. He was a truck driver with Sexton Farm Trucking and was of the  Baptist faith. He is survived by his son, David Strayer and wife Megan of Moultrie; daughter, Traci Kennedy of Moultrie; brothers, Scotty D. Hooks of Moultrie, Doug Hooks and wife Penny of Dadeville, AL; sister Connie Hooks of Moultrie; grandchildren, Evelyn Strayer, Kade, Cryslyn and Izabelle Kennedy; step-father Richard Wayne Burnham of Moultrie.   Visitation will be 6-8 Friday November 10, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
