Mary Hellon Hughes Sprayberry Burger, 100, of Moultrie, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Pruitt Health-Sunrise.
The family will have a private graveside memorial.
Born on October 4, 1921, in Ila (Madison County), Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Cleveland Hughes and Amanda Magnolia Christopher Hughes. She worked for many years at the Donald Duck Canning Plant in Florida as a canning production operator. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William Lloyd Sprayberry and Frederick “Fritz” William Burger; children, William Earnest Sprayberry, Patsy Amanda Goff, Hugh Cleveland Sprayberry, and Mary Lee Stokes; and 12 brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Burger is survived by her daughters, Judy Pate and Tammy Lynn Dismuke and husband Tom Marcantonio, all of Moultrie; daughter in law, Peggy Sprayberry, also of Moultrie; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
