Mary Sue Dell Jarvis

Mary Sue Dell Jarvis, 62, of Valdosta, died Tuesday January 31, 2017 at South GA Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Emerald Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jeffrey Apperson officiating and assisted by Heather Jarvis. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Emerald Hill Church Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Shane Dell, Sean Dortch, Allen Dell, John Flowers, Mark Fender, and Gracen Fender. She was born on March 4, 1954 in Moultrie, to the late Winfred Franklin Dell and Mary Jane Smithwick Dell. She was a greeter and a cashier at Walmart and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Pittman "Jimmy" Jarvis; brother, Ricky Dell and a special friend, Ronnie Parks. Survivors include her son, Corey Jarvis, and wife Heather of Valdosta; daughters, Mandy Jarvis of Tallahassee, and Stephanie Williams of Berlin. 5 grandchildren; brothers, Roger Dell and wife Gina of Moultrie and Keith Dell and fiancée Kristina of Moultrie; sisters, Sherry Weathers and husband Rick of Moultrie and Gwyn Dell of Ocilla. In Lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Baker Funeral Home 2222 GA Hwy. 37 E. Moultrie, GA 31788. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
