Mary Etta Jordan Sutton (PICTURE) MOULTRIE Mary Etta Jordan Sutton, 88, of Moultrie, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 26, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Deep Bottom Cemetery with Buddy Sutton, Junior Sutton, Ricky Sutton, Tyler Sutton, Glen Strickland and Tony Gay serving as pallbearers. Born Dec. 15, 1924, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of Pearce Jordan and Louvenia Curles Jordan. She was retired from Moultrie Cotton Mills and was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie William Sutton; brothers, David Jordan, Lee Jordan, Alvis Jordan, Homer J. Jordan and William Jordan Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Strickland and husband John of Sale City; sisters, Irene McMurphy of Moultrie and Mable Jordan of Moultrie; a sister-in-law, Lorice Ragan of Chattanooga, Tenn.; granddaughter, Nicki Strickland of Sale City; special god granddaughter: Casey Reynolds of Moultrie; several nieces and nephews; and employees and friends of the Golden Apple.
