Mary Wilson Williams, 88, of Moultrie, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Albritton and Reverend John Eubanks officiating. Joe Flowers, Kris Bivins, Jerry Tillman, Johnny Summerlin, Albaro Soria, and Rick Gaston will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Baker Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 pm on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Baker Funeral Home.
Born on August 15, 1936, in Tifton, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Hobert Monroe Wilson and Hattie Yates Wilson. Mrs. Williams was a supervisor for Bridgeport Brass in Moultrie for many years upon her retirement and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Denise Williams Summerlin; brothers, Donald Wilson, Emerson Bruce Wilson, Wallace Wilson, Bobby Wilson, and Raymond Wilson; sisters, Virginia Beasley, Emogene Burdette, Laverne Willis, and Doris Casey.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Billy Horton Williams of Moultrie; son-in-law, Lavon Summerlin of Moultrie; grandson, Brandon Summerlin and wife, Rebecca of Moultrie; greatgrandchildren, Chloe Reese and Cadie Summerlin; sister, Carolyn Bates; several nieces and nephews.
