Matthew Charles Garver ALBANY Matthew Charles Garver, 21, of Albany, Ga., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014. He was born in Jacksonville, Fla., on Sept. 24, 1992. He was the son of Ralph Henry Garver Jr. and Blanche Hoffman Mills, both of Jacksonville, Fla. He spent most of his young life growing up in Albany, Ga. He was a quiet and thoughtful young man, who loved fishing and anything outdoors, his family remembered. He was attending Albany Technical College this year and looking forward to new beginnings, they also said. "Those who knew Matthew loved him and his memories will long be cherished by friends and family," his family remarked. He is preceded in death by his "MeMa," Vera Garver, and grandfather, Ralph Henry Garver Sr.; and grandfather, Russell Rogers. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother, BJ Kearns of Albany, Ga.; his aunt, Jane McElroy of Tallahassee, Fla.; sisters, Megan Garver and Margaret Price, both of Jacksonville, Fla., and cousin Alicia Veronesi and husband Keith and their children, Max and Cooper of Fuquay-Varina, N.C. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Baker Funeral Home, from 2 to 4 p.m. Baker Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
