Maudie Lee Barton Ricks MOULTRIE Maudie Lee Barton Ricks, 98, of Moultrie, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, at Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Randall Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Bridge Creek Cemetery. Born Sept. 1, 1914, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Barton and Peanini Holland Barton. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Isaac Ricks; sons, Wayne Ricks, Billy Ricks and Melvin Ricks; brothers, Troy Barton, Roy Barton and Clyde Barton; and sisters, Prudie Bryant, Elsie Mae Swinson, Reba Kelley and Louise Taylor. Survivors include her sons, Doug Ricks of Moultrie, Robert Ricks and wife Elaine of Kathleen, Fla., and John Ricks and wife Geraldine of Arkansas; a daughter, Margaret Willoughby of Moultrie; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be today, May 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Baker Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
