Mecie Dorsey Roberts, 93, of Norman Park, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at UniHealth Post Acute Care of Moultrie. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, April 27, at Rocky Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Born July 16, 1918, in Sparks, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Lucious Harvey Dorsey and Nancy Mizie Clark Dorsey. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Blanchard Roberts; brothers, Pete Dorsey, Tolbert Dorsey, Warren Dorsey and Houston Dorsey; sisters, Louise Robinson, Mary Ellen Baker and Margaret Harrell. Survivors include a son, William "Buddy" Harvey Roberts of Norman Park ; daughters, Nancy Marie Roberts Hurst of Norman Park and Ann Barrow and husband Tommy of Coolidge; a brother, Joe Dorsey and wife Merleen of Norman Park; sister-in-law, Winnie Dorsey; grandchildren, Tammy Perkins and husband David of Tallahassee, Fla., David Hurst and wife Kenille of Norman Park, Scott Fowler and wife Kelli of Barney, Ga., and Ashley Fowler of Moultrie; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Dallas Perkins of Tallahassee, Fla., Candace Lawson and husband Terry of Lenox, Ga., Mark Hurst of Norman Park, Zackery and Cody Fowler, and Kelsi and Jackson Black; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Eleanor Florence.
