Merleen Courtoy Dorsey (PICTURE) NORMAN PARK Merleen Courtoy Dorsey, 82, of Norman Park, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 20, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Burial will follow in Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Larry Hinson, Wesley S. Baker, Lee Medders, Cody Cason, Wesley E. Baker, Mark Hurst, Aaron Pepple and Dustin Hall serving as pallbearers. SFC Bobby Joe Dorsey will be an honorary pallbearer. Born Sept. 30, 1930, in Isabella, Ga., she was the daughter of James Courtoy and Virginia Mae Spence Courtoy. She was retired from Sunstate Sportswear and was of the Protestant faith. She was preceded in death by brother, J.C. Courtoy; and sister, Melba Bannister. Survivors include her husband, Joe Otis Dorsey of Norman Park; sons, Joey David Dorsey wife Lisa of Norman Park and Roger Clark Dorsey and wife Debbie of Norman Park; daughter, Marsha Jean Cole of Norman Park; grandchildren, Jeneane Hinson and husband Larry, Wesley Baker, Bobby Joe Dorsey and wife Lori, Mandy Dorsey Medders and husband Lee, Jenny Dorsey Hall and husband Dustin, Bridget Williams, Lee Williams and Stacey Williams and fiancée Aaron Pepple; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., thursday, Sept. 19 at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home .
