Michael Charles Chuck' Chesnutt MOULTRIE Michael Charles Chuck' Chesnutt, 31, of Moultrie, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Wilkes Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery with Tommy Haman, Michael Brooks, Jesse Hunter, Ryan Courtney, Evan Butler and Jonathon Carroll serving as pallbearers. Born Aug. 25, 1982, in Moultrie, he was the son of Mary Renell "Rennie" Newman and fiancé Robin Butler of Moultrie and the late Michael Lewis Chesnutt. He was an operator for Wye Delta Electric and was of the Baptist faith. He played football for the Colquitt County Packers, loved his family and everyone was his friend and loved riding horses fishing and hunting, his family remarked of him. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert L."Bob" Newman Sr., who was like a father to him,; and his grandmother, Christine Chesnutt. Survivors include his girlfriend, Teresa Purett of Moultrie; grandmother, Mary E. Newman of Moultrie; uncles, Robert L. "Bobby" Newman Jr. and wife Patty of Moultrie and Greg Chesnutt and wife Sandra of Atlanta, Ga.; aunts, Becky Fallin and husband Mike of Merrillville, Ga., Michelle Murphy and friend Sam Walker of Moultrie and Sherri Padgett and husband Shawn of Moultrie; step-brother, Chris Butler; step-sister, Taylor Butler; cousins, Holly Wilson, Hope Gunter, Brandy Jackson, Katee Newman, Hannah Brady, Braylon Gunter, Noah Gunter, Chris Fallin, Brandon Murphy, Robert Padgett, Jolie Napier and Mikenna Wilson. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., today Jan. 2, at the funeral home. The family may be contacted at 2768 Bay-Rockyford Road in Moultrie. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
