Michael Lynn Christie

Michael Lynn Christie, 76, of Moultrie, died Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Senior Care and Rehab.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Murphy Cemetery with Bishop King officiating. 

The family will receive family and friends immediately following the service. 

Born on November 15, 1947, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Bob Henry Christie, Sr. and Marcelle Murphy Christie. He was a valued mechanic for Ball Container Company in Moultrie, GA. Michael spent countless peaceful hours on the water, rod in hand, at his favorite fishing spots. His patience and skill were unmatched, and he often shared his love for fishing with family and friends, teaching them the beauty of the sport he cherished so dearly. Above all, Michael deeply cherished his grandchildren, who brought immense joy and light into his life. He loved spending time with them, whether he was sharing fishing tips, telling stories, or simply enjoying their company. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob H. Christie and Thomas Cornelle Christie.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn Boles Christie: children, Richard Corbett Christie and wife Jennifer, and Jennifer Lynn Christie: grandchildren, Olivia Kate Christie, Ava Claire Christie, Knox Beau Christie, Hannah Holton, and Chloe Holton: sister, Alice Goodman: and sister in law, Deborah Christie
