Michael Mathis

Michael Dwayne Mathis, 57, of Norman Park, died Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, July 15, 2021 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Jimmy Lee Courtney, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
Born on May 31, 1963, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Olen Leonard Mathis and Arlene Linnie Burnham Mathis. He worked as a sales representative for an Insulation Co. and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Mathis is survived by his son, Michael Lee Mathis of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; sister, Teresa Mathis Courtney of Norman Park; mother of his son, Billie Boyd of Moultrie; special nephews, Jonathan Courtney and wife Miranda of Norman Park, Marcus Arnold and wife April of Moultrie and Jimmy Lee Courtney, Jr.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
