Monteen Giddens Hampton

Monteen Giddens Hampton, 83, of Norman Park, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Agape Health and Rehab. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Giddens officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/ Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Senkbeil, Wade McDonald, James Tompkins, Caleb Giddens, Josh Giddens, and Jerry Miller. Born June 27, 1934 in Colquitt Co., she was the daughter of the late Harvey William Giddens and Lillian Louise Ragan Giddens. She retired from Hampton Plumbing Co. and was a member of New Hope Holiness Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kater Earl Hampton; brothers, Farrell Giddens, Winfred Giddens, and Johnny Giddens. Survivors include her sisters, Margie Shepard and husband Charles of Alabama, Janice McDonald and husband Roger of Sylvester; sister in law, Reba Giddens of Moultrie; special niece and caregiver, Lynda Phillips; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
