Myrtice Higgs "Granny" Suber

Myrtice Higgs "Granny" Suber, 101, of Norman Park, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Sunrise Nursing Home. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Leila United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Mike Hampton, Brian Glass, Kevin Higgs, Rodney Higgs, Jerry Lindsey, Tim Stephens. Born on September 4, 1916, in Cook Co., Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Charles "Charlie" Roy Higgs and Mary Lucy Sumner Higgs. She was a retired store owner and a member of First Baptist Church Norman Park. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, I.W. Crumpton and T.F. Suber, Jr.; grandchildren, Dennis Waites, Jammie Waites; and brothers, Murray Higgs, Willard Higgs, and Kenneth Higgs. Survivors include her son, Bobby Crumpton and wife Sharon of Reynolds, Georgia; daughter, Carolyn Waites of Norman Park; grandchildren, Greg Waites and wife Ann of Norman Park, Carol Waites of Norman Park; 5 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and sister Dorothy Ross of Norman Park; and many nieces and nephews.
