Myrtle Boyd Parker, 84, of Moultrie, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Agape Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. James Williams officiating. Interment will be in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be Shannon Passmore, Darron Stanford, Gabe Massey, Bryan Merritt, William Joey Boyd and Chet Sammons. Born Dec. 8, 1927, in Cook County, she was the daughter of the late Lidge Virgil McDaniel and the late Ada Mae Gilreath McDaniel. She was a waitress at Sportmans Restaurant and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Chester Boyd, two sons, James Chester Boyd and Jimmy Lee Boyd; a brother and a sister. Survivors include her husband William H. Parker of Moultrie; two sons, Joey Boyd and wife Mary of Norman Park and Clint Parker and wife Sonya of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Jackie Passmore and husband Wayne of Doerun, Faye Green and husband Charles of Valdosta and Sheryle Dutcher of Jacksonville; two brothers; five sisters; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Monday, at the funeral home. The family may be contacted at 590 Mt. Sinai Road, Doerun, at the home of Wayne and Jackie Passmore.
