Neal Wade Copeland

Neal Wade Copeland, 49, of Moultrie, died Saturday, July 27, 2024 at his home. 

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at New Life Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverend William Davis and Reverend Chad Payne officiating.

Born on December 2, 1974, in Valdosta, Georgia, he was the son of Kathy Jean Combs Cardin and James Wade Copeland. Neal began playing piano by ear at an early age and music brought him great joy. Another love he had was watching airplanes take off and land. He often could be found watching the live feed from Jacksonville Airport. His greatest love was his little dachshund, “Buddy” who was his constant companion. Neal worked in retail before becoming disabled.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George (Pepa) and Willa (Mema) Combs, and paternal grandparents, James Roy (Granddaddy) and Elizabeth (Mama E) Copeland.

He is survived by his loving mother and caregiver, Kathy Jean Cardin (Donald); father, James Wade Copeland (Sue); one sister, Stacy Marie Copeland Cardin (Bubba); niece, Ashley Elizabeth Cardin; nephew, James Hunter Cardin (Kylie); and multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
