Neal Ansel Key, 86, of Norman Park, died Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Pruitt Health Moultrie.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Dudley Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Omega City Cemetery, Omega, Georgia. Matthew Key, Lucas Key, Tyler Key, Omer Key, Jr., Chan Layson, and Matthew McClure will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 21, 1933 in Colquitt County, Georgia., Mr. Key was the son of the late Felix Walter Key and Ollie Belle Johnson Key.  Mr. Key was retired from Key Produce Co. and was active in the produce and pecan business for many years.  He also served as Manager of the State Farmers Market in Moultrie.  He was a member of Norman Park Baptist church and served on the Norman Park City Council.  Mr. Key was known for his checker playing skills and enjoyed many matches with local competitors in the South Georgia area.  He loved baseball, basketball, and played softball for several years in various leagues around Colquitt County.  Mr. Key was a loving and caring father and husband, his smile and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters; Myrtle Key Fowler, Violet Key Weaver and brothers; Joseph Melton Key, Matthew Walter Key, O.B. Key, Early Crawford Key, Omer E. Key, and Cecil Washington Key.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mildred Jeanette Pilkinton Key of Norman Park; sons, Mickey Neal Key and wife Bobbie of Norman Park, and Daniel Wayne Key and wife Mary of Tifton; grandchildren, Matthew Neal Key and wife Amy of Moultrie, Lucas Whitney Key and wife Jessica of Norman Park, Jenny Ruth Key Layson and husband Chan of Greensboro, and Rachel Marie Key McClure and husband Matt of Chattanooga, Tennessee; Great grandchildren; Tyler Neal Key, Ansley Lane Key, Abigail Nicole Key, Colton Whitney Key, Lily Jane McClure, Ian Richard McClure, Elsie Ruth McClure, Sadie Ruth Layson, and Charlie Holmes Layson. One sister Lucille Key Smith and one brother Doyle W. Key and Merita, all of Norman Park.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 from 6pm-8pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
