Nell Southerland Duncan, 82, of Moultrie, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Archbold Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Kicklighter and Rev. Matt Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jack Duncan, Kenny Duncan, Terry Duncan, Clark Duncan, Billy Thompson, Phil Henry and Wayne Howell. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Duncan's Sunday school class. Born February 5, 1935 in Tampa, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Robert F. Southerland and Mary Alice Gordon Southerland. She retired as the deputy Tax Commissioner of Colquitt Co. and was a member of Kingwood Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Odus Duncan of Moultrie; son, Len Duncan and wife Kelly of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter, Sandy Duncan Clayton and husband Dewayne of Moultrie; grandchildren, Mary Alice "Allie" Clayton and Lauren Clayton; brother, Bobby Jack Southerland of Coolidge; sister Betty Southerland Stillwell of Lagrange and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, March 21, from 4pm-5pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
