Ola Maud Dodd

Ola Maud Guy Mercer Dodd, 87, of Norman Park, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. James "Shot" Sellers and Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Coolsprings Freewill Church Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jamie Mercer, Shane Roberts, Scott Roberts, and Chris Brooks, Trent Roberts, Jerrod Goolsby. Born on March 12, 1930 in Ashburn, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Lee Guy and Sally Elizabeth Yarborough Guy. She retired as a Nurse Assistant and was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. J.B. Mercer; second husband, Tillman Allen, and third husband, Rev. Damon Clifford Dodd; daughters, Cheryl Sinclair, Tammy Mercer, and Debbie Roberts; great grandson, Jordan Croft; brothers, L.B. Guy, Hershel Guy; sisters, Laverne Garren, and Juanita Hiers. Survivors include her son, Mike Mercer and wife Pat of Norman Park; daughter, Denise Brooks and husband Jerry of Omega; grandchildren, Carrie Mercer, Laurie Doyan, Rhonda Goolsby and husband Brian, David Sinclair and wife Michelle, Jamie Mercer and wife Jennifer, Shane Roberts and wife Amanda, Scott Roberts and wife Kayla, and Chris Brooks and wife Mandy; 18 great grandchildren; and son in laws, Darrell Roberts, and Hinton Sinclair, both of Norman Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm. The family may be contacted at the home of Mike and Pat Mercer 823 George Flowers Rd.
