Olan Lamar Holweger Sr.

Olan Lamar Holweger Sr., 67, of Moultrie, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 2, 2017 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Lavender and Rev. Danny Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be Olan Holweger Jr., Dale Holweger, Billy Holweger, Shawn Padget, Alex Evans, and Joseph Singleton. Born September 3, 1949 in Donaldsonville, GA, he was the son of the late Vernon Robert Holweger and Minnie Adean Young Holweger. He was a self-employed drywall finisher and was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith. Mr. Holweger loved his family and was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, J.B. Lavair; and sister, Carrie Louise Kight. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Faye McKellar Holweger of Moultrie; sons, Olan Holweger Jr. and wife Sherrie of Moultrie, Dale Holweger and wife Fannie Mae of Berlin, and Billy Holweger and wife Sabrina of Moultrie; daughter, Melisa Dawn Holweger of Tifton; and a sister, Brenda Larea Singleton of Tifton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 2pm-3pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
