Ovida Evans

Ovida Jones Evans, 94, of Moultrie, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Pruitt Health Sunrise.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Shannon Partain and Sister Peggy Dee officiating. She will be laid to rest at Sardis Church Cemetery.
Born on February 6, 1928, in Morven, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Jones and Mary Eunice Adams. She was a press operator at Bridge Port Brass and was a member of Young Christian Crusade Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Marvin Evans; son, Roy W. Evans; brothers, Johnny Jones, Tom Jones, and James Adams; sisters, Ella Mae Johnson, Ruth Williams, Bell Ray, Alice Gibbs and Dorothy Stone.
Mrs. Evans is survived by her son, Michael Evans and wife Jeanie of Cordele; daughters, Gail Evans Fair of Moultrie, and Christine Johnson and husband Edward of Valrico, Florida; brother, Paul Adams and wife Mary of Wauchula, Florida; sister-in-law, Betty Jones of Ducktown, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
