Patricia Ann Griffin-McAlpin Young, 56, of Moultrie died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., today, Jan. 18, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Apperson officiating. Born Aug. 10, 1955, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Jimmy David Griffin Sr. and Maudine Yon Robinson Griffin. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Robert and Viola McAlpin; her adoptive brothers, Edward and David McAlpin; and a grandchild, Lee Pitts. Survivors include her ex-husband, who she was married to for 20 years, James Young of Moultrie and his wife Terry Young, who was also a special friend; a son, Jason Young of Moultrie; a daughter, Teresa Pruitt of Moultrie; brothers, Jimmy Griffin and wife Angie of North Carolina, Joe Griffin of Renoldsville, Ga., Jerry Griffin and wife Lisa of Albany, Jerrold Griffin and wife Kim of Bainbridge, D.J. Griffin of Bainbridge, and Jonathon Griffin and wife Priscilla of Tifton; sisters, Jackie Davenport and husband Terry of Hazlehurst, Joan Clinton and husband Virgil of Thomasville, Sonya McCall of Moultrie, Karesha Shiver and husband Corey of Moultrie, Wanda Connell and husband Willy of Moultrie, and Melissa Ann Robinson of Moultrie; grandchildren, Terron Lasseter, Blake Lasseter, Jesse Young, Patrick Pitts, Steven Pitts, Kevin Pitts and Christine Vining; and great-grandchildren, Zayne Plymel, Leah Storm Vining and Kynder Rayne Vining.
