Patricia Yvonne Cooper Gay, 64, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Cooper officiating. Justin Cooper, Bobby Gay, Jonathan Cooper, Wade Hall, Gene Cooper, Jacob Cooper, and Daniel Cooper will serve as pallbearers.
Born on March 4, 1957, in Pavo, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Ervin Cooper, and Betty Geraldine Phillips Cooper. Mrs. Gay was a bookkeeper for Cobblestone Health and Rehab. She loved her crafts, puzzles, reading books, and playing cards. She was known as the card shark. She was her daughter’s best friend. She was of the Church of God faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Terry Cooper and Steven Cooper.
Mrs. Gay is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Frank Edward Gay of Moultrie; daughters, Valarie Lynn Gay Farmer and husband Bobby of Ty Ty; sons, Eddie Gay and wife Addie of Moultrie, and Brian Steven Gay and wife Nichole of Waycross; grandchildren, Dylan Gay, Charlie Gay, Matthew Farmer, Natalie Farmer, Trinity Gay, and Tauren Gay; brother, Russell Cooper of Moultrie; sisters, Judy Bales of Moultrie, and Betty Jo Puckett and friend Roy of Ray City, special cousins, Susie Adderton and Becky Moore; special friend, Faye Bryant.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 28, 2022, from 6 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
