Pearl Ward Castleberry NORMAN PARK Pearl Ward Castleberry, 98, of Norman Park, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Agape Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, in Buck Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating. Burial will follow in Buck Creek Cemetery with Lamar Hickey, John Paul Sutton, James Sutton, Greg Keigans, Dennis Waites and Johnny Middlebrooks serving as pallbearers. Born May 14, 1914, in Dooly City, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Raleigh Nathaniel Ward and Sarah Lenora Burgess Ward. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Buck Creek Baptist Church. She was a member since 1947 and was their oldest member. She was presented a plaque honoring her for service as a Sunday School Secretary for 40 years. She was the last surviving sibling out of 13 children. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Castleberry; sons, William Henry Castleberry and Gerald Lamar Castleberry; a daughter, Sarah Lounette Castleberry; brothers, Olen Ward, Claude Ward, Roy Ward, Carl Ward and Earl Ward; sisters, Maude Carpenter, Gladys Purvis, Lois Hall, Grace Gunn, Irene Ward, Melba Ward and Mae Middlebrooks; Survivors include her son, Jimmy Sanford Castleberry and wife Donna of Norman Park; daughters, Norma Castleberry Banks and husband Donald of Macon, Ga., and Pam Castleberry Repass and husband Charles "Chuck" of Moultrie; grandchildren, Donnie Banks and wife Tamara of Forsyth, Ga., Sherry Banks Brewer and husband Tray of Keller, Texas, Laurie Banks Maloney and husband Jay of Libby, Montana, Jackie Banks Potkulski and husband Mike of Peachtree City, Ga., Jessica Loveday and husband Mike of Vero Beach, Fla., Kristal Hicks and husband Mark of Vero Beach, Fla., Staci Repass of Savannah, Ga., and Charles Repass Jr. of Columbus, Ga.; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 7, from 1 to 2 p.m., at Buck Creek Baptist Church.
