Pearlie R Hester

Pearlie (Pat) R. Hester MOULTRIE - Pearlie died peacefully in her sleep August 20, 2015 after a courageous battle with lung cancer at the age of 75. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at Baker Funeral Home on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 6-8 Thursday evening August 27, 2015 at the funeral home. Pearlie, born July 15, 1940, was the only daughter of Johnnie and Estell Holloway of Moultrie, GA. Upon marrying her late husband, Watus H. Hester, a member of the United States Air Force, Pat's love of travel began. Together, they traveled with their children to many places, including: Florida, Germany, Maine, before returning to Georgia, where they settled upon retiring from the military. After her husband died in October 2003, Pearlie took the opportunity to travel and visit her children and grandchildren. She finally settled in Colorado upon receiving her cancer diagnosis where she was cared for by her sons and daughters. Pearlie is pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Watus Hester, and her loving parents, Johnnie and Estell Holloway, and two sons-in-law; James Rose and Rodney Alvarado. She is survived by her six children and their spouses, Bobbie Rose, Mike Dean and Clarissa Cotto, Ray Dean and wife Lacey, Karen Alvarado, Toye Nigey and husband Bryan, and Tina Aviles and her husband Luis; her grandchildren, Jennifer Werling, Jeffrey Rose, Tiffani Alvarado, Lisa Alvarado, Sarah Dean, Allison Dean, Gage Dean, Rachel Nigey, Bryan Nigey, Jr., Alexander Aviles, and Marissa Aviles; and her great grandchildren, Danyelle, Devin, Anastacia, Amelia, Nicholas, Noah, Aiden, Makayla, and Riley. She is also survived by brothers Johnny "Buddy" Holloway, and wife Alice, Jimmy Holloway, and wife Linda, Leo Holloway, and wife Darlene, Curtis Holloway, and wife Faye, Don Holloway, and wife Joyce, and Huey Holloway, and wife Barbara.
