Peggy Kennedy Byrd Ramsey

Peggy Kennedy Byrd Ramsey, 84, of Quitman, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Pruitt Health Magnolia Manor.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Morven Baptist Church with Jim Pitts officiating. Interment will follow in Oakhill Cemetery in Quitman, Georgia. Casketbearers will be her grandsons.
Born on July 25, 1934, in Quitman, she was the daughter of the late Angus James Kennedy and Maggie Coriene Hulett Kennedy. She was a homemaker and of the protestant faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ed Frank Ramsey; her daughter, Debra Iris Byrd; and brother, James Hulett Kennedy.
She is survived by her son, John Allen Byrd and wife Sharon of Moultrie; daughters, Peggy Elaine Porham and husband Jeff of Quitman, Tammy Denise Connell of Quitman; grandchildren,  Brian and Brigitte Lamon of Atlanta, Tara and Eugene Hunt of Moultrie, Anna Byrd of Moultrie, Justin Dean and fiancée Gracce of Morven, James and Allison Williams of Perry, Georgia, Douglas Connell of Crawfordville, Florida; great grandchildren, Cooper Lamon, Briley Lamon, Addyson Hunt, Bentley Williams, Emilee Williams, and Haley Dean.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 6pm - 8pm, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity organization of your choice.
