Petra Soto-Ruiz

Petra Soto-Ruiz, 93, of Omega, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at her residence. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 6, 2017 at 10 am in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Father Alfonzo Gutierrez officiating. Casketbearers will be Roberto Cervantes, Luis Palomares, Raymond Delgado, Roberto Alonzo Perez, Hector Montalvo, Ruben Reyes, and Luis Omar Ramiro. Born on June 10, 1924 in Piedras Negras, Coahulia. Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Francisco Soto & Urbana Ruiz. She was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roberto Cervantes-Gutierrez; daughter, Maria Guadalupe Cervantes Soto and a brother, Alfonso Martinez. Survivors include her sons, Fermin Palomares-Soto, of Norman Park, Juan Roberto Delgado-Soto, Jose Luis Palomares-Soto, Antonio A. Cervantes-Soto, all of Omega; daughter, Enedina G. Delgado-Soto, of Omega; 16 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
