Pinkie Mae Lassiter Sheckells MOULTRIE Pinkie Mae Lassiter Sheckells, 94, of Moultrie, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, in Moultrie. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Godwin officiating. Burial will follow in Cobb/Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the funeral home staff serving as pallbearers. Born May 23, 1918, in Laurel Hill, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Bob Lassiter and Martha Elizabeth Dreading Lassiter. She was a seamstress with Sunstate Sportswear and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sheckells; a son, Jimmy Kilpatrick; brothers, Leahmon Lassiter and James Robert Lassiter; and sisters, Minnie Edge, Katie Gomillion, Dorothy Gomillion, Ollie Bell and Moiselle Gatti. Survivors include step-son, Donnie Tillman of Moultrie; a sister, Peggy Dawson of Tallahassee, Fla.; grandchildren, James Kilpatrick of Tallahassee, Fla.; and one great-grandchild.
