NORMAN PARK Rachel Lorene Castleberry Hickey, 90, of Norman Park, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at Sunrise Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, May 4, at Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating, assisted by the Rev. Shane Ashley. Burial will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery with Nathan Long, Keith Burgess, Jamie Hickey and Allen Brackin serving as pallbearers. Born June 22, 1921, in Ellenton, she was the daughter of the late Peter Frank Castleberry and Eliza Jane Crosby Castleberry. She was a homemaker and had worked at C & D Sportswear. She was a member of Norman Park First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Andrew Hickey; a son-in-law, Frank Tucker; brothers, Jefferson Dewey Castleberry and Huber Castleberry; and sisters, Leila Grace Smith, Alma Lurlean Benifield, Julia Mae Pinion, Amanda Clyde Smith, Pearlie Magdalena Weeks, Ethel Irien Kearce and Bessie Lou Miller. Survivors include sons, Thomas Andrew Hickey and wife Margie of Sparks, Ga., and Paul D. Hickey and wife Tina of Bartow, Fla.; daughters, Joan Hickey Martin and husband Ralph of Norman Park and Nelda Lorene Hickey Tucker of Newton, Ga.; grandchildren, Andrea Goudy and husband Tim of Bentonville Ark., Donna Hickey of Valdosta, Ga., B.J. Long and husband Nathan of Savannah, Ga., Nikie Brackin and husband Allen of Leary, Ga., Beckey Burgess and husband Keith of Norman Park, Daniel Tucker of Newton, Ga., and Jamie Hickey and wife Brenda of Waverly, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Parker McPherson, Gracey Burgess, Cody Burgess, Laney Brackin and Ethan Long.
