Richard C. Bridwell

Richard C. Bridwell, 88, of Doerun, passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2017 at Legacy Village in Moultrie. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, January 27, 2017 at Doerun City Cemetery with Rev. David Benton officiating. Casketbearers will be Blake Bolton, Richard Bridwell, Travis Bridwell and Mickey Bridwell. Born July 15, 1928 in Doerun, he was the son of the late Leon Bridwell and Louis Davis Bridwell. He retired from the United States Air Force and was a member of First Baptist Church Doerun. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Allan David Bridwell; brothers, Jack Bridwell, Jim Bridwell, and Howard Bridwell and sisters, Dorothy Hortman, Ruth Davis, and Francis Sherman. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Clark Bridwell of Doerun; son, William Richard Bridwell of Doerun; daughter, Melissa Bridwell Jones & Cecil Flowers of Doerun; grandchildren, Richard Bridwell, Travis Bridwell, Clare Bridwell, and Blake Bolton and a daughter in law, Sandi Bridwell of Thomasville. Visitation will be held on Friday January 27, from 1pm-2:30pm at Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
